FAQs:
Can I use HIFU whilst on my period?
No, you are much more sensitive during your period so the process may cause discomfort or even pain. It is best to use the device mid-cycle (two weeks after your period).
Can I use the device while pregnant or very soon after childbirth?
Definitely do NOT use while pregnant. You should wait for 6 months following childbirth.
Can I treat a prolapsed womb with HIFU?
No, an existing prolapse cannot be improved with HIFU. Please consult your GP.
What medications OR medical conditions should stop me from using HIFU?
You must check with your GP before using HIFU if you are currently using ANY medications! Even aspirin can possibly cause complications so please ask your GP. Those with neuro-medical conditions such as epilepsy should not use HIFU machines.
What should I NOT do after a HIFU session?
Avoid sexual activity for 7 days after the treatment 。
Keep vagina entry clean, for e.g, after using the toilet rinse area with water, and wipe clean with a clean towel.
After treatment eat a high-fibre diet, fruits and vegetables, to avoid constipation.
Avoid hot baths, saunas and high temperatures for the first 7 days.
